Opening: "Counting the Cost"
Jan 18, 2026 • Gina Swinney
Over the past several weeks, we have been examining "New Year, New You."All of which depends on two things. First, a willingness to do self-examination and reflection to find what we can, then say: "I want to/need to address this in my life, and I know my life will be the better for it." Sunday, we acknowledged that sometimes the change we are looking at is a big ask, and we will crank up the resolve to do the heavy lifting to engage with the change we have identified. Our text for the morning was Jesus' parable about a man who was getting ready to build a tower, and he must first consider whether he is willing to pay the price. The story is found in Luke 14. We gather at 9 am and are a fully welcoming, casual congregation.
